Event Horizon es tan escénica y endemoniadamente misteriosa como corta, cuanta psicodelia en tan poco universo cosmico invocado al final con unas inmersivas voces.
Opening The Eye, nos deja tiempo para acostumbrarnos a la gris oscuridad del corte, la llamada de los bombos a esas voces en forma de ecos y los efectos extrasensoriales, ensortijados entre las partes verbales, otra rayada más.
La percusión es la reina de este círculo viciado a cortes guitarreros que viven el momento sin ansias de comprenderlo. Outside The Circle es una cascada étnica de sonidos agrupados frente a los usuales instrumentos del metal. No tengo claro si es tema aparentemente normal o tañidos al uso.
A modo de performance Upgrade es otra pista como lejana y eterna voces superpuestas, el bajo toma el poder con las seis cuerdas de la guitarra gravitando alrededor mientras la voz afianza el tono severo a casi gutural salido de las entrañas de las cuerdas vocales.
Qué voracidad de comienzo Dark Matter de voces entre épico, oscuro y fantástico. El riff de guitarra lleva el tema al,paso hasta una especie de sólo de todos a una con voces de más allá. Muchos cambios de ritmo al final, descolocada he quedado.
7 inquietantes minutos de tema, Bones of Adam, dan para partes instrumentales orquestadas al unísono , teatrales interpretaciones vocales, esotéricos efectos. . Abrumadora la parte rítmica y las distorsionadas guitarras
Todo es un pico de tensión en la aparición del tema, voces de ultratumba, la metálica guitarra que llora en cada acorde, Without a Beak es una balada siniestra al uso del más allá de la banda.
Quills and Jupiter, creadores de esta calma salvaje e indomable va más allá de letras superficiales, sus temas son comprometidos y reveladores hasta el núcleo.
Pilgrim nos encauza por un tormentoso camino, aligerado con unos teclados livianos cubiertos por una nube en el horizonte psicodélico, esto va más allá de componer un tema, son 9 minutos de vida propia de descarga emocional desmedida. El ritmo se adueña de mis latidos.
Piano y pestilencia no parecen encajar, hasta que las voces de detrás de todo esto aparecen para atraer al resto de los instrumentos. La voz que sale tras esa la garganta acuchillada y el doble bombo retumba en Pestilentia, tema que casi parece corto.
House of The Slanted es burra con ese bombo a plena palpitación y la guitarra teniendo claro su inclinación, pierdo el equilibrio tras el solo, no todos los oídos estàn abiertos a lo relevante de este complejo trabajo.
Toneladas de personalidad para este tema, Hooks and Fingers, estas cosas me abren la mente y la creatividad, intento seguir los tiros de los sintetizadores, colapso con el groove lúgubre que hace de esto casi un tema normal.
Siempre habrá algo por descubrir y aplicar en este mundo de la música, ya la elección queda en tus manos, si quieres salir un rato de lo común, Deviation está en camino, eso si, no es apto para mentes poco propicias a canciones alejadas del convencionalismo.
